Wolfgang Joop is best known for the foundation of fashion and cosmetic concern called Joop. Wolfgang Joop is one of the supreme German fashion designers and he was born in Germany on 18th November, 1944. His last name Joop, is a Dutch first name and he started using this name as his trademark in 1979. He used a sign of exclamation after JOOP. Wolfgang Joop initiated his career in fashion industry at that time when he and his former wife participated in a fashion contest and they won three prizes there. Before that Wolfgang Joop studied advertising psychology and he was a freelance artist and a professor also at the University of Berlin.

History

Wolfgang Joop got international acclaim when he showed his first fur collection and according to a renowned newspaper agency was a Prussian Designer. Wolfgang Joop showed his first ready to wear lady's garments in the year 1982 which was immediately followed by men's collections in the year 1985. The story did not end there; shoes, jewelry, clothes, perfumes and eyeglasses were instantaneously accessible under this brand name JOOP!

Wolfgang Joop was married in 1970 with an art student Karin Benatzky and they both are alienated. Joop has two daughter, fashion and jewelry designer Henriette Joop and Florentine Joop and he also owes a house in Monte Carlo, two villas in his hometown.
